Here's why RIHC is banned:
Start a topic and then baseless bash anything Chinese - which in turn instigate others to retaliate, and then things quickly spiral out of control. Starts another topic... repeat...

Let's keep this in mind.........although RIHC (1,2,3,4, etc..) HAS made a number of insulting comments (yes, including his screen name), he has NEVER been profane (we can credit a few other posters with THAT dubious distinction, although they were usually reactions to one of RIHC's insulting comments). I agree with BringIt - come back with a reasonable screen name (in other words, no "hate" of anyone or anything) and SOMEWHAT reasonable comments (let's also be fair....there were times when RIHC's info was VERY accurate) WITHOUT INCENDIARY insults - and then let's all live and let live, OK?
I think we DO need to be concerned with the use of profanity by some of the members (myself included...I've crossed the line once or twice with inappropriate language)........let's all keep in mind that this IS a "public" forum with all ages access. If this forum is going to be a QUALITY conduit of information about the chinese auto industry (and I DO believe overall that this forum IS doing a quality job of that due to most all of the great members here), then we all need to be a bit more careful not so much about WHAT we say, but about HOW we say it.:nod:

You see even if he says he will behave, there will still be comments (intentional or unintentional) that antagonize other users creating conflict which we do not want here
I'm a new member. I haven't posted much (However, I check in every day and keep up with the new posts) His handle is absolutely insulting to me; China is my home and his moniker is tasteless and breeds bad will on our China oriented site. His total absence from site is like a breath of fresh air to me. To me, its like we just got ride of a nasty & insidious STD. His crap would be tolerated for a nanosecond on some of the other, non car related forums that I am active in. In my humble opinion, the decision to ban the little worm, is "good riddance to bad rubbish"

new members probally wont know me, but i think we should let rihc back in with his screen name as RIHC (or something else) instead of real_i_hate_china. that would stop him from saying this site is a communist site or something, and we would get less pissed from him calling himself hatting china.

there are not alot of chinese car news comming out since the qq and spark, and bricklins bringing chery was over.
he is the only one that can keep this forum up.

we all know no one can be permanently banned - don't be a tard.
he will always be welcomed back with another ID - that doesn't HATE on somebody. (there's no way to stop anyone from doing that; banned IP only goes so far.)
the creator/owner of this site should do more postings of auto news related to China - instead of waiting for this guy to do so. :nono:

You can indeed get some information by examining what comes out of it, but you definitely don't want that to be a fixation.
I agree his username is racist to a great extent. However, I still don't know why you guys are negating him when usually he posts actual facts related to Chinese vehicles. He occasionally posts some racist remarks against Chinese which is profane already, but usually to retailiate to another member who has commented negatively of Koreans.
It seems many members here get very emotional when he posts up threads of news articles which talk about the Chinese cars' poor qualities or the everyday copying we see in some automakers. I remember he posted a thread of the Chevy Spark at the top in JD Power Survey while the Chery QQ was at the bottom and some Chinese car-faithfuls started retailiating negatively on Korean cars and defacing him for posting articles that portray Chinese automakers badly. Then, someone brings up the "Look at his username, that's why he's posting articles like this" and things get heated up.
I see no reason why he should've been banned and I see complete lunatics in every forum I encountered. Go to GMInsideNews and threads will be filled with comments defacing Toyota and even one member has a signature tagged "MEMBER OF I'M NOT BUYING A JAPANESE CAR". You guys seem to take it as a surprise. If you see he should be banned, since I'm not an authority here, be fair and ban the members who do the same to Koreans.
