Beijing BJEV EC5, LITE ET3

The EC5 is equipped with either a 70 kW or 80 kW motor, 48 kWh battery pack, and range is officially 403-415 km. Info from MIIT further reveals one version of the EC5 (403 km, made by BJEV Changzhou) badged as "ET3" under a new standalone brand "LITE".

BJEV also proposes to bring the EC3 hatchback under the LITE brand.

There are indications that the ICE cars belonging to Senova brand will be transferred to the BEIJING brand (as seen on the BJ20). The D50 may be renamed U5, the Zhidao as U7, Zhixing as X5, and the Zhida as X3.

Beijing ET3

Retail sales of the ET3, a twin of the EC5, stand at an estimated 342 units for the first 8 months of this year. In comparison, the EC5 has had 2,175 registrations from January to August. Sales of the ET3 began in 2019 itself, in which year 124 (est.) units were sold.

Since the ET3 has not been offered to general consumers, I think it is being inducted into taxi or ride-sharing fleets. There is only one variant, officially having a range of (as stated previously) 403 km and equipped with a 48 kWh battery.
