Changhe began production of the facelifted M50S at the Hongyuan (Jingdezhen II) factory in April of this year, but it appears that this model is now solely being made for export markets such as the Philippines.
Changhe's updated site no longer lists any M50/M50S (nor the M70) but features the bigger Weiwang M60 which is also made in Hongyuan.
THACO Truck & Bus, the commercial vehicle arm of Truong Hai Auto Corporation, one of Vietnam's largest motor vehicle producers, recently introduced the Towner Van in 2-seat and 5-seat panel versions. It is based on Changhe's LWB Furuida minivan. It is equipped with the 1.4L K14B engine.
Changhe stopped making the Furuida minivan for the Chinese market in April 2018. This June the company resumed production and shipped 120 units. THACO received type approval for the vans from the Vietnamese authorities in July. Earlier, for about 8 years or so, THACO had been offering only minitrucks in their Towner range, also based on Changhe models.
