I think that's just a sloppy job of masking of the pre-line off model. Here's another example....

i was just kidding. covering them with tape seems to be an industry thing to disguise what the car will actually look like, although it tends to draw so much attention it probably has the opposite effect.

or it might be a little known trick of test drivers. cover it in tape then drive it like ya stole it, and the police will look the other way - 'oh, it's a professional test driver that's going sideways through the industrial estate at 120mph, that'll be all right'.

TWO THUMBS UP FOR CHERY!!!:thumb: :thumb: It will be VERY interesting to see what the details are (engine displacement, standard features, options, prices, etc...) - but if it is affordably priced THIS is a car I would be REALLY HAPPY to buy!! Maybe it's a good thing that I am waiting a bit longer to make a final decision on WHAT car to buy - this car could be worth waiting for!!

For some reason when i look at the front i always think of a goldfish. Design is not bad, wheels and rims look a little cheep, and i think that door lineing could be taken off. And it would be even better if they could put a little more curves around the doors. But overall it looks less feminine then the QQ, i would actually fell comfortable driving this. Two thumbs up.
Oh yea by the way, this car certainly beats the new chevy spark and aveo.

Even so it's a huge improvement over the QQ. Who knows, if it performs well enogh the styling will not matter.

I like it, much more "masculine" than the QQ although that's not saying much.

With gas prices going through the roof even in the US, I can see this car selling quite well any where in the world. I'd buy one.

I just found these on the internet this morning, so I thought I would share them with you! The S12 will actually be called the Qq5 or Qq7 (not sure which), which makes it a part of the growing Qq "family - the "classic" Qq (now known as the Qq3), the new Qq6 (which will go on sale in 2-3 weeks, around the middle of August) and the upcoming S12 (to be renamed in the near future). I don't know about prices or options yet - but I think it is safe to say that it will most likely offer pretty much the same amenities and options as the new Qq6. I would guess that the price will also be about the same as the new Qq6..........anywhere from 42,000 - 52,000 rmb. Enjoy the new pics!!
