Chery and Geely reach 2nd and 3rd place in Chinese new car market

Chery and Geely, China's two domestic car brands not part of joint ventures with overseas companies, became respectively the third and fifth-largest selling passenger car brands in January and February this year, according to statistics from China’s Department of Machinery & Electronic Products, part of the Ministry of Commerce.
Chery sold 41,641 vehicles in January and February, a 111.5% year on year increase, while Geely sold 35,508, an increase of 120.8% from a year earlier. Shanghai GM still led the market in thef first two months of this year, followed by Shanghai VW, Chery, Beijing Auto, and Geely.www.autoindustry.co.uk/news/21-03-06_16
