@ausrutherford: The homegrown manufacturers do seem to be getting infected by the Great Wall bug (to clueless readers, it roughly means a company giving dissimilar products similar names, often in order to club sales numbers together)
We now have BYD (Song, Song MAX), Changan (CX70, X70A; different MPVs under Oushang; Ruixing S50/50V, S50T; Raeton, Raeton CC), Chery (Tiggo 3, Tiggo 3x).
Rare that Chery Argentina S.A (the new importer of Chery; from 2008 to 2015 it was Chery-SOCMA) doesn't wanna sell the Tiggo 5X here. Sure because for the price? If a Tiggo 5 Luxury CVT costs AR$ 530K, just imagine that the 5X will be AR$ 600K. In my country NOBODY wanna spent MORE THAN AR$ 500K in a Chinese car, all this because "the Chinese prejudice" and the high import taxes (up to 35% more to the real value of the car).
The T19 facelift comes equipped with 1.5 L, 116 hp naturally-aspirated engines paired with 5MT or CVT. The pre-facelift J68 continues as before with the 1.5 L, 147 hp turbo unit. A turbo will be offered on the T19 later.
