Chery first light truck model is scheduled to be launched into the market in early 2011. If Chery have a decent diesel engine and a decent transmission to couple with than it would be feasible to make a Pick-Up truck.

C&C "Xiyate" QCC1020D241

NDRC has approved a new (actually quite familiar) pickup truck by C&C Trucks, a MCV/HCV joint venture between Chery and CIMC groups, under the "Xiyate (西亚特)" brand. This will be made at the former Feicai plant which has been absorbed into C&C Trucks. The former Feicai plant also makes the ICAR (Aika) pickup for Karry (sold through Chery CV), so, despite the Feicai logo seen in the pics, this one may also end up as a Karry eventually.
