General Motors is preparing an investment plan to launch new models at its general Alvear plant on the outskirts of Rosario. This was confirmed by Carlos Zarlenga, the owner of the entire Mercosur of the American automotive industry. "We are seeing that the industry cycle in Argentina has already reversed, as in Brazil." "So we're going to take the investments forward," said Argentinian executive to Clarín, in an interview at GM's headquarters in Vicente Lopez. Zarlenga didn't specify the amount to invest, but implied that this is a significant investment, as it would be to develop at least a high-end model.
