China sportbike issue

I have a 2021 vitacci gto with 971 miles. I'm having trouble with it shutting off when I put it in gear (any 1st / 2nd) it with clutch lever held, it will still turn the engine over but will not start . Bike doesn't have a kickstand safety switch. If I put it back in neutral, it fires up immediately. Any ideas would be awesome
