With an already polluted world and dwindling oil supplies (and sky-rocketing prices), I shudder at the thought of China selling more cars than the guzzling gas-hog nation of USA, with India right behind...

China must address this with technology. A good mix of electric, bio-diesel, and hydrogen can help, and small, light, and efficient cars should be strongly encouraged. While we're at it, the good ol US of A should do the same.

My personal view is that no country will ever displace the United States as the world's no.1 super economy or super power. Not in 30, 50 years or 100. It will not happen.
China, due to its sheer number of people, will replace US as the #1 economy. But China will never replace US as the bigger super power, simply because China does not want to. Chinese people's historical tendency to keep things to themselves and not get into other people's business will continue.

Also, China will never catch up to the US in terms of personal income. That will never ever happen. To achieve that, China's economy has to be more than 4 times the size of the US, and that is simply impossible.

My prediction is that China will surpass US in overall economic size, and then run out of steam and grow at a slow pace, keeping personal income at about 1/4 to 1/3 of US income; look no further than other Asian economies such as Taiwan, HK, S Korea as indicators.

It is vital for civilization that the United States remains the world's undisputed leader in economic and military power. Only a 100% democratic with good human rights nation such as America could be good for the world. I dread about the day when a communist state is leading the world.

Let's pray for the American leaders.
Gosh, stop watching Western propaganda already :nono:

The righteous Americans single handedly killed 3+ million Vietnamese people in the Vietnam war, that's more than 10% of their population back then.

Oh, that's so 70's? Well, a recent reports states that approximately 650,000 Iraqi lives are lost since the American invasion (an invasion against the wished of UN). I suspect by the time we are done, we would have killed more Iraqis than Saddam ever did.

And don't get me started on the imprisonment and torture of the "terrorists".

Yeah, 3 cheers for America!!!
