China has a spacecraft launch craft till 2050, the US is scrambling to design one for their 2020 moon landing. After the 2010 retirement of the shuttle fleet, the US will have no other launch vehicle other than the TitanII rocket.
So, there is a silent space race going on that is behind public knowledge.
