Here's an intriguing one for me. Foton claims the Sauvana SUV was launched in US back in 2015. They have a whole press event on YouTube. The rank they go to is located in California, so I assume that's where the conference was held too. All photos are screenshots from YouTube.

What confuses me most is in the video that is attached below, you can see lots of people taking pictures of the car. However, I can seem to find any mention of this in any news site, except for the official press release.

This is a former Uber lease car from Greenwheels going back years. It's been up for sale on that website for a while.
Perhaps it may soon reach "classic" status. An early BYD EV model, it truly was a trailblazer, mostly as a taxi down in Guangzhou.
So LSEV, you or I, or maybe even Alicia Webb, former Automotive News writer, should jump at the chance to buy it.:unsure:

The place appeared to have closed down 😓 I looked on Google maps and its marked permanently closed.

It's very interesting to cycle through the street view. You can see multiple BYDs, Wheegos, a Vantage microvan, and some other nice EVs (Think City, Mitsubishi i-miev)

Here's a brand called Trifun selling Chinese trikes in the Midwest United Statss.

All three models come with five-speed manual transmissions and gas-powered engines that the Esteses say have top speeds of between 60 and 70 mph. They say the little cars get at least 42 miles per gallon and sell for around $10,000. (source) Licensed as a motorcycle, they are powered by a 970cc four-cylinder Wuling-GM engine.

Yes, thanks to you LSEV, I do recognize that old FAW Jiabao model, introduced back in around 2011.
Such old Chinese compact models never die, I guess. They just fade into the pipeline of outmoded models, headed for the U.S.. And that pipeline seems to grow bigger by the day.

Interesting Chinese minicar here in Silicon Valley. Called the KAR GT by KleenSpeed Technologies. Their headquarters were in Palo Alto, California. The KAR body is a Chinese-sourced vehicle optimized by KleenSpeed for EV duty. Production plans are still in the early stages. It could come in either two-seater or 2+2 configuration with room for up to 40 kWh of batteries, the latter which would give it a claimed 150-mile range. Kleenspeed has said that an entry-level KAR S could sell for less than $10,000, with the battery leased separately for $175 a month. The entry-level model would come with a stock suspension. The sportier GT could retail for just under $14,000 and sport a KleenSpeed subframe and suspension for more spirited performance.
