And if you are not Chinese then how do u know that it is Chinese mentality and all Chinese people have this kind of mentality ? And seriously, people like you I have seen a lot on the net who always claim to travel a lot to this country or that country and use it as a tool to bash that country.

It's very obvious this overblown media hype of "dangerous" made in China products/food has a strong political backing. The governments of every 1st world country want to paint China into an evil empire and the defacto common enemy. What a better way to divert people's attention to their own problems and stike up patriotism/pretectionism?

In the US, for example, it's especially important to drum up an evil empire out to get the US. It's the proven way of uniting the people that backs the policies of the governmet. The more "fear" the gov is able to drive into the people, the more support they'll gain.

On the flip side, I'm glad they are blowing this way out of proportion (China is not even the worst offender in product safety, not even close). This ought to alarm the Chinese government and companies and "shape up" on a fast and speedy curve. China made products will become better and safer in a much faster rate, which could only be a good thing.

The Western media/governments are unknowningly helping China become even better, even faster. Ultimately China wins, and all consumers around the world wins.

Only time can tell and only when the Chinese government really puts their mind into it then yes
