Re: Dongfeng Fengshen A60 & Junfeng E70

Martin, it is not Junfeng E70, but Fengshen E70 :)

For those who are confused as to why the same vehicle is being shown as E70 and A60EV, the E70 has a longer range. The A60EV, not sold to the public but distributed only to institutional customers like infrastructure companies (airports for example) has a shorter range of 170-200 km, whereas the E70 (by the latest reports) has a range of 351 km. However, at the time of this post, the E70 is not available for sale (i.e., price not announced).

Dongfeng-Skio Junfeng E17

Junfeng E17 was officially unveiled in Hangzhou in November, and according to sales info site Chooseauto.com.cn, deliveries began also in November with the first 300 units shipped. Since prices have not been announced yet, these may have been deliveries to distributors or, more likely, special fleet users.

Going by the latest specs, there are three versions of the E17: 60 kW/49 kWH, 60 kW/60 kWH, 100 kW/49 kWH. The NEDC ranges are 256, 320, and 290 km respectively. Skio claims a maximum range of 490 km; perhaps this was achieved under very controlled or exceptional test conditions.

Dongfeng Fukang EV

Not content with Fengshen A60 EV, E70, Junfeng E17, and E11K, Dongfeng is still enthusiastic about introducing yet another EV sedan based on the G11 Sylphy, while at the same time resurrecting the Fukang name. There is a new logo as well, and this iteration sticks closely to the E70 in appearance. The model name is not clear, could be something like "ES500". Output is 90 kW.

We have long associated the "Fukang" brand name with Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automotive Ltd. (DPCA) is this revival of that brand name a result of the planned DPCA merger with Fengshen that we heard about?
