Near-identical sisters to the new Venucia e30 and Renault City K-ZE electric minicars. All four models are going to be made by eGT New Energy Auto at the same plant in Shiyan. Lengths vary between 3699 mm and 3735 mm, wheelbase is 2423 mm. Powered by a 33 kW motor.

Fengxing T1 not pictured, same as Aeolus EX1.

Re: Dongfeng Fengguang EV

Is everyone going to get a rebadge of this before its done?
Perhaps DFSK has a greater claim on the product than some of the other divisions of Dongfeng, because the vehicle(s) are going to be produced at the Donghuan Road facility in Maojian dt., Shiyan city, Hubei, which is one of two factories DFSK currently operates in Maojian.

Due to zoning and environmental regulations, DFSK will relocate its other factory (from Bailang Middle Road) within Maojian itself (to Shenying Industrial Park) by 2020-21, so once these hatchbacks begin to roll out, the company might consider concentrating all Shiyan-based production at the new unit.

Re: Dongfeng Aeolus EX1 & Fengxing T1

MIIT reveals 271 km NEDC range for the minicar(s), made possible by a 27 kWh battery pack.

The anticipated full names of the Dongfeng models are:

Aeolus EX1 300
Fengxing T1 EV350
Fengguang EV Power

In view of your previous posts about DFSK and its recent acquisition by Sokon (CCF post of 11/20/18), I am puzzled by the above reference to DFSK as a "division", of Dongfeng.

Let me add that I am aware of the 26.1% stake in Sokon, that Dongfeng recently acquired, and I would appreciate you clarification of this complex relationship.

Ownership labels aside, in the end I guess one could say that Dongfeng and Sokon are "as close as lips and teeth", to use the old proverb.

Yes, you are right. I should have said "than (some) divisions'", not "other divisions". I myself have emphasized the fact that DFSK is now a subsidiary of Sokon Industry Group in one or two other places. Perhaps my mind is still conditioned to think about Fengguang-branded vehicles as Dongfeng products (perhaps reinforced by the presence of the Dongfeng label and logo).

Thanks!

Just to show how complex it is, the eGT BBG project (i.e this car) will be produced by eGT New Energy Automotive [a 50:25:25 JV between Dongfeng Motor Group Co. Ltd.*, Renault s.a.s., and Nissan (China) Investment] under Dongfeng Motor Group Corp. ("EQ") license at a plant currently used by DFSK.

*itself owned by Dongfeng Motor Group Corporation.

Yes, indeed it is, and I continue to be awed by how Sokon's stake in the 2003 DFSK joint venture with Dongfeng , went from, production of small utility vehicles, to acquiring Dongfeng's stake in the joint venture, and all the way to Sokon (or SF) now preparing to introduce its own Seres SF5 CUV model in the U.S. in 2020. That is, way before so many of the other contenders for the U.S. and Europe markets.
