New sedan from Changan-PSA, built upon the EMP2 architecture and related to the Peugeot 508L (R83C). Wheelbase is longer than the 508L's (2848 mm) at 2895 mm. A plug-in hybrid version will be offered too.

DS 9 E-Tense

DS 9 E-Tense plug-in hybrid unveiled, will be offered in three states of tune (225 hp, 250 hp, 360 hp - total output). The car will be manufactured in China for domestic and global markets. What no PSA press release concerning the DS 9 will tell you is that this will be made by Baoneng Automobile, which will continue producing DS-brand cars after having taken over the DS Shenzhen facility.

[Note: Specifications released earlier by MIIT refer to a 1598 cc engine producing 147 kW (197 bhp) combined with a 81.2 kW (109 bhp) motor]

The DS9 has just been unveiled locally, and they have avoided writing anything in Chinese on the rear. It's either "E.TENSE" or "45THP" and "DS9".
