Land Cruiser Prado is produced by Sichuan FAW Toyota Motor Co a joint vehicle-production company established between Toyota and China FAW Group Corporation. Two versions of Land Cruiser Prado are manufactured at Chengdu Plant - basic Prado GX and upscale Prado VX.
Toyota is already testing modernised Prado in China. We can expect SUV to hit the market soon because Japanese already got brochure for new Land Cruiser: http://www.autohome.com.cn/news/200908/67598.html

I agree with you KiwiGuy. It looks stretched and out of proportion, with a rear end that was patched on.
Let's hope the new one won't fall prey to recalls like the old one with its A/C and suspension problems in 2004 and 2005 respectively.
