The first Sino-foreign invested engine research and development center has been completed in and put into service in Wuhan, an important industrial city at the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.
The center is funded by by Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co. Ltd., a Chinese-American joint venture between Dongfeng Motor Co. Ltd. and Cummins. Co. Ltd. of the United States for producing the Cummins designed midrange mechanical and electronic engines.
The facility is the fourth joint venture ever founded in China by Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co. Ltd., with headquarters in Xiangfan, a historical city in western Hubei Province,
The newly completed center is currently installed four engine testing platforms, one pilot set workshop and multiple labs. Three more phases of expansion are also planned ahead and when all the three phases are finished, the center will become Cummins Co.'s the biggest research and development center outside the United States.
Sun Xiaobo, general manager of the center, said his center would engage businesses including product research and development, exhaust tests and relevant engineering services.

well this is still joint between foreign and chinese engine makers...geelys engine was still 100% chinese and no foreign
