It is with sadness and reluctance that my much-loved MG TF135 and I have to part company in the near future as I am going to be obliged to take a compulsory company car.
It's a very special TF, being one of only a few hundred revised 05 spec cars that were made. Please note this is not a later registered pre-05 spec car (plenty of those still around in the suply chain) but a genuine 05. Being an 05 spec car It has the new hood with heated glass rear screen and the new improved suspension setup, both of which make this the easiest F/TF to live with as an everyday car. And being the last MG model to be go into production while MG was still in British ownership, it's a little bit of history too.
What makes this MG absolutely unique is the colour combination of British Racing Green pearlescent coachwork with a burgundy hood and burgundy interior. This BRM-inspired combination was not officially offered by MG Rover, and had to be specially ordered by hand-written submission to the factory. It is the only TF in existence in these factory colours. The car also has the ultra-rare factory-fit air conditioning, alcantara/leather seats, MG XPower freeflow exhaust, Sports Pack 2 (front fogs, 16" straight spoke alloys, AP racing brakes etc), full-size alloy spare, boot-fitted MG toolkit and luggage net, tonneau cover, windstop, rear grille, and several other options.
Rattle, squeak and leak free, you won't find a better built or specified TF anywhere. It is in the immaculate as new condition its 14,000 miles would suggest and has been serviced beyond the requirements of the MG Rover service schedule by an MG Rover dealer . All the car's history, paperwork and documentation are presented in a racing green leather-bound MG Owners Club ring binder.
More details/photographs or a private inspection are available on request.
Priced to sell at £9,500
No testpilots, timewasters or bargain hunters, thank you.
