I find it amazing that this antiquated, Isuzu-derived instrument panel (see double cab pickup above, posted 7/23/14), is still being produced, and sold.

But these photos here of the Lan Fu and the F22 show that Foday is finally moving ahead.
Legalizing entry of pickups onto city roads would be a big boost for this little truckmaker.

I'm guessing that these new Foday models are on full frames, not unibody.

Exactly that thought crossed my mind when I first found the pictures; searched around for a while but did not find any articles/reports mentioning such; anyway, I will continue to look for any connection.

I will give the original links here to see if anyone can find a clue:

Here is an article from today expressing surprise at what it calls a "copy". At least we get to know these vehicles will be branded Yufeng (U-Vane, like Donfeng's big van).

For the moment, I will assume that Dongfeng is buying kits from Foday (keeping in mind Foday's reputation as an auto body supplier) to make own-brand SUVs and pickups. Remember their original Tuyi SUV (see here, here) possibly had a Foday body (very common at that time).
