Cheap Chinese sportster (BL) coming to Europe
Chinese car-maker Geely has confirmed its plans to export its charmingly-named Beauty Leopard sports car to Europe. Geely, China's largest privately-owned car-maker, aims to launch the self-developed coupe in 2008.
The Beauty Leopard currently features 1.3- or 1.5-litre petrol engines and five-speed manual or automatic gearboxes; it has been developed from scratch by Geely, and is already on sale in countries including Egypt, Syria, Cuba and Malaysia. Prices start from as low as $7,500 in China.
Geely is planning to sell 1million cars worldwide by 2010, and to export two-thirds of its total production by 2015
