And what is this esoteric Ruilan technology that is being spoken of? The (pathetic) article linked to does not have any mention of that. A car made by Ruilan will have Ruilan technology by default (!)

I thought it was a Maple 80V equipped with Rulian's battery swap technology, right?
Battery swapping tech has been available on the Maple 80V since 2020, then under Fengsheng, production of which started in December 2020. See JWT6470SEV01, type approved around June 2020. Lifan Tech started making the 80V (also swappable) in May 2021 (stats provided from July 2021).

Unlike the regular 80V, the PRO, however, is likely geared toward the private customer as opposed to the ride-hailing market, as evidenced by the more upmarket interior. It can be purchased with or without the battery (rental model). Autohome's article mentions 60-second swapping which is the same as what was possible previously with the regular 80V at Geely Technology Group's swapping stations. Watch this video from April 2021.

Ruilan has just announced its Crystal architecture using "capsule" battery modules which can be increased or decreased as required, varying the capacity of the battery. Such battery packs are swappable, rechargeable, and recyclable. This tech, which is nascent, will be utilized in the upcoming Livan-badged vehicles. There is nothing to show that this tech has already been implemented in the 80V PRO.

Thank you for the amazing information, as usual. I apologize for my misunderstanding of the car.
You don't need to apologize; it was not your fault. The article itself was deficient in information.
