Geely enters the EV pickup battle with the high-end RADAR brand
How many of you realize that this RADAR pickup will be manufactured by our very old friend Tangjun Ouling (or T-King)?

In January 2021, Shandong Tangjun Ouling Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was acquired by Zhejiang Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group Co., Ltd. from Zibo City Zichuan District Caijin Holding Co., Ltd., a unit of the Zichuan District local government.

Geely's new energy CV project in Zichuan dt. is being set up by Shandong Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. which is a 90:10 JV between the above-mentioned Zhejiang Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group Co., Ltd. and Zibo City Zichuan District Caijin Holding Co., Ltd., the latter representing the local government's interests. Part of the project includes renovating the assembly and paint shops of a former T-King factory, while new facilities will be constructed for stamping, welding, QC, recreation/training as well as a new test track.

The MIIT filing/declaration page for the RADAR RD6 mentions Shandong Tangjun Ouling Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. as the manufacturer of the vehicle, since the company holds a manufacturing license.

And so, the former Dongfeng Nanchong Automobile Co., Ltd. which became "Shandong Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd." (GCV),aka Farizon, and was acquired on March 4 , 2016, from the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the Nanchong municipal government....is the now the new parent of our old friend T-King, maker of Radar RD6.
Is this correct?
Seems the Geely conglomerate becomes more and more complex by the day.

Thanks D Mitra. Yes, I suspected my reasoning about the connection was not valid, due to the distance between Nanchong,Sichuan and Zibo, Shandong.
Adding to my confusion, here's what Denis Bobylev over at CNC had to recently say about the Radar ownership.

"….two companies run RADAR. Geely Pickup Truck Auto Parts (Shandong) and Geely Pickup Truck Auto Sales (Shandong) are two independent entities under Hangzhou Geely Automobile Research and Development, which, in its turn, is wholly owned by the Zhejiang Geely Holding Group "
