It is amazing, what a mess Geely (and Chery) makes of brand names, logos, model names etc., changing all the time, like a drunk in the street changes direction all the time. Why not one name, one logo (and stick to it for years!!) and just logical model names!!!
The hatchback has been shown in Shanghai 2009 as Gleagle GC5 (GC515). Came in production as Englon SC5-RV. After 4 years name change into Geely SC6 Kingkong Hatch. Then change into Geely New Meiri Hatch. And now Geely Englon C5.
The sedan had nearly the same route: Gleagle GC5, Englon SC5, Geely GC5 Sedan, Geely New Meiri Sedan, Geely Englon C5 Sedan.
