Geely launches "Geometry" brand, Geometry A car

Premium electric cars from Geely to come under new "Geometry" brand, with each model being denoted by an alphabet. The Chinese name is Jihe. So, the Ge11 will be called simply Jihe A (Geometry A) and not Geely Jihe A.

So, back to separate brands again!

Re: Geometry

As I said, Geely has gone back to its old ways, and the elimination of Englon and Emgrand (as a standalone brand) earlier did not have a lasting effect at all. Now it has, as brands, Geely, Lynk&Co, Geometry, Lotus, Volvo (cars), Polestar, LEVC, Yuancheng (commercial), Gleagle (JV), Proton (minority ownership), Zhidou (also minority ownership), and if you care to include, Terrafugia. Since the TX is also going to be made in Yiwu, I fear they might bring back Englon, for China only, as well.

Why a "premium electric" brand? Is Lynk&Co not premium enough? Why not make the Ge11 a Lynk&Co product, maybe as part of a different lineup from the 01-05 by starting with, say, e11? Again, what about the Emgrand GSe? That is an electric car. Should it be shifted to Geometry then? What if, in the future, there are pure electric versions of the GL or Borui GE?
