also the same engine in the wingle pick up from paris,the engines comply with euro 3 emission standars

personaly i think that engine needs more power,only 94 ps for 1900 kg from hover?? that engine will go for sure for about 300000 miles,but i think that it's too slow,i never drive it yet..i will try now when i go in china,for pick up...also,i think that they both shoud have at least 100 kw like some other companies,toyota,mazda,nissan (174 ps from navara),also only euro 3 emmison??? here in europe you can't sell diesel with euro 3 engine,you can in countires which are not part of european union,but in 2007 and 2008 also it woun't be availbe

they can put VM engine from italy,it's euro 4,other companies also have it (jeep,hyundai) and have 100-110 kw,for chinese market this engine will be ok,also for middle east,but for european...i don't know,maybe for "old school" drivers and fan of diesel engines

no problem,you must see the engine from close look,it's very small,it that space what hover have you can put there at least v6 engine,and when you see this you ask yourself that little engine can drive that car???

but the company is very proud at that engine,becuse as i know...many little chinese manifactures have diesel engines with common rail and euro 3 emission,of course it's a big step forward for them,but we must be raelistic,with that techologie what they have...i think that they can do better engine than that with more kw,and at least euro 4...in europe already start euro 5 law!

SUV without adequate diesel engine has no chance on European market

my opinion: without adequate diesel engine (common rail, Euro 4 norm, at least 100kW) has GWM Hover only very little chance to sales success in EU countries.
Big gasoline engines are only for U.S. market interesting.

in germany,france,spain...people will use the model with lpg,like italians,already 500 models of hover
for diesel engine,we don't like...because we all want do drive fast,but when i was in paris people was delighted with that engine,as i know people don't like those 1.9 or 2.0 diesel engines which have over 150 ps and can go for about 150000 km,i am sure that with that engine you can go over 300000 miles witohout any repairings

also here in croatia,serbia,bosnia...just tell that you have vehicle on lpg!
ok..bosnians prefer diesels because of old mercedes benz 200 d and 240 d which you have in bosnia maybe more than in germany!
in croatia and serbia it's a LPG boom,because of high prices of gasoline,all manifactures already offer their vehicles on lpg,seat,fiat,skoda,mitsubishi,hyundai...with warranty

GWM Hover passed chilean safety and emission laws

The Hover has been cleared by the 3CV, the Chilean Government agency wich certifies the safety and emission regulations in Chile.

The tested models were the 2.4 petrol engine, with manual transmission and 4x2 - 4x4 versions. The Hover passed the Euro III standard with the following emission figures:

CO = 1,72
HC = 0,13
NOx = 0,07

The chilean distribuitor of GWM, hopes to launch the Hover in January 2007.

The Hover is the third chinese car approved by the Chilean Government after the Shanghai GM Sail (sold in Chile as Chevrolet Corsa Plus) and the Shuanghuan Sceo (sold in Chile from January 2007 as Autorrad Sceo).

What a disappointment!

I would have thought CCTV would have rewarded a manufacturer of a self-developed model like those produced by Chang'an, Hafei, etc.. These brave companies deserve recognition for their willingness to break away from the pack, and risk failure (like good capitalists are supposed to do).

After all the Hover is nothing but a warmed over Isuzu Axiom/Toyota 4Runner clone. The name "Safe" fits it best.

I drive a 2005 gw sailor, gas engine. the carnage at the pumps had turned my interest to the same model in diesel. however the brand new thing was so loud and annoying that i chose the gas version. is this new engine any quieter than the 2.8D that is present inthe 2005 sailor & Deer p/ups.

As far as I concern you have to evaluate an engine capacity by the torque, and the Turbo Diesel Hover have a pretty good torque about 220 N.m at 1800-2200 RPM, so I think it would not be the fastest car but the car would move very well with this engine.:thumb:

diesel

hello my friends, i will soon buy a hover with diesel engine for the promotion,black one,here is the picture:

i was pretty intrested in that how that engine doing because of 95 hp but i can tell all of you one thing, that engine goes just fine,i was impressed,you know...95hp??? man ask yourself,but when i drive it it goes a little bit slower than mitsubishi engine, i drive it the most 165 km/h, with gasoline my hover goes 185 km/h,but the most acceptable speed for diesel it between 140-150, you have a truck feeling, also the car when you hit the pedal stick you to the seat with only 95 hp!!! this hover don't have 4x4 stick, he had electric swich, very simple to use it



here is the pictures, from the headquaters in italy, my friends, they have great car saloon,it's big as hell,maybe over 5000 m2,also the picture when you come inside, very nice, that black hover on picture is diesel

GW2.8 TC Intec Diesel-Biodiesel Mix Ready ?

On many countries the mix of diesel with small percentage of biodiesel is becoming a common practice.
Is GW2.8 TC Intec ready for the the mix of Diesel - Biodiesel mixed ?
