Hi Micodelija,
I couldn't agree more. And thank you for your frank opinion. I just can't understand why they chose to give up what, in my opinion, was one of the best Chinese carmaker logos. There are lots of things to change at GW but not the logo.
I think it look more "modern" than the old one, so I like it somewhat better. The old one looks like a mouth with 1 tooth left, if you know what I mean.

They should make the middle part to actually look like the great wall, and not just a solid block of tilted square.
i read somewhere that they want to change it because of it looks too much like toyota amblem

when is this becoming official?
does anyone know why they decided to change their logo?

any pics of badged cars with new logo?
Great Wall introduced new logo at the presentation ceremony of production versions of Peri and Cowry. They are the first cars to carry it.
I think new logo is not good

for me I would rather the old one
soon great wall hover will have some changes, with dvd sistem
i love the hover, its a quite nice suv nice exterior , original but not nice interior, old but good stereo, and confortable , just need at least a 170hp engine
and...automatic with 4x4, and cruise control sistem, and the seats from wingle, and dvd

An old question I know, but just for the record Admin, the GW website said this about the logo:

"President of GWM, Ms. Fengying Wang gave us the answer: GWM has to change its logo since it has met some trouble in the export that the previous logo was registered in many countries by others....."
great wall change it's logo because new logo represents new era of devolpment of great wall, entering in passenger car market
