Hi I have just bought a GWM 2.0 Diesel 6 Speed ( I live in South Africa)
Can anybody tell me why when one changes gears, especially from second to third the engine revs increase.
The agent that I bought the car from says that it is normal, the ECU is set up to do that so you do not loose any torque - very irritating plus it must increase fuel consumption.
Also I am a bit disappointed that the SUV only has 6,000 kilometers on the clock and the steering rack has already been replaced plus it now has to go in for a new gearbox as it has started to whine in third gear. http://www.chinacarforums.com/forum/images/icons/icon9.gif
Have I bought a Monday or Friday car?
All the best Dave
