Re: Haval F7

This F7 model..,or "F7X", appears to be a sedan...
Can we call it a fastback sedan? Or perhaps the rear end tail is too blunt for that.
At a time when four door models are called coupes, and crossovers are called SUVs, it's hard to say.

This vehicle surely does have some unique features among Havals, and more.
First, we definitely know whose comfort and convenience the interior was made for.
Talk about skewing...

And viewing the F7X from the rear, shows us a huge girth that I haven't seen on any other Chinese made vehicle.:nono:

Barring the somewhat fragile looking, (chicken wire) grille, to me it exudes the strength and robustness seen in the Great Wall.

Back in May 2014 Great Wall signed an MOA with the Tula Oblast government and the Tula Oblast Public-Private Partnership Development Group for construction of a complete assembly, greenfield plant. Construction was to begin in September 2015 in the Tula Oblast region, about 200 km south of Moscow. Planned capacity then was 150,000, with an investment of 3.2 元 billion ($513.36 million). At that time the estimated start of production was 2017.
It appears that this is the same plant with a much delayed start up date?

Yes, it is the same one; it got delayed due to the economic slowdown and decline in automotive sector volumes in Russia. Now things are starting to look up a bit: see Daimler's new CKD factory for Mercedes-Benz cars in Esipovo that opened in April or the grand ambitions of brand Aurus. There are some expressions of interest for GM's mothballed plant. Unfortunately, amidst all this, Ford is abandoning ship (except for Transits).
