We know that Chinese manufacturers often reverse engineered cars of established foreign makers. So my guess is that when Great Wall reverse engineered Toyotas they also copied the method of resetting the "Maintenance Required" light. The method involves a sequence of pushing the "Trip A" reset button (located in the instrument cluster), together with turning the ignition switch, or start/stop button, from off to on. I can't provide an exact sequence because it varies from model to model, but I'm sure that for Toyota models someone has asked the same question, and gotten an answer online (perhaps at YouTube). This operation also can be found in the Owner's Manual.
