Nice comprehensive intro Martin. Fuqi got the old Toyota Land Cruiser dies quite awhile back and continues to make good use of them.
But who is the foreign partner of Huaxiang Fuqi mentioned here?

This short wheelbase double cab pickup (FQ1021) stands out among the hackneyed Isuzu-based (Fudi?) bodies shown in the other photos here. Is this Huaxiang Fuqi "Fortune", or is it "HiMax", pickup a self-developed product as indicated in the quote? If so let's hear some applause for Huaxiang Fuqi.·Latest product in Huaxiang Fuqi as well as in China. More than three years for Fuqi factory to develop.
