i am interested in japanese tractors and farm equiptment, i notice several importers in canada and the states have "grey market kubota tractors" which are routinely scrapped in japan due to farm subsidies.
japan is the only (?) nation on earth where buying or giving a used product is seen as unpatriotic or dirty. 12 years back when in japan it was normal to see working tv's stereos and computers set out for trash as societal issues prevent recycling or giving of used gifts.
I did not know that that custom extends to vehicles?
BTW, the japanese back then did not like their own autos and preferred to pay greater amounts for german built rabbits.
