Long time ago I had'nt posted here. BTW, Youyi is exporting buses to Chile in a JV with Metalpar (one of the biggest urban bus manufacturers in Latin America, behind Marcopolo, CAIO and many others) under the Rayén name.
They work on the Arica, Antofagasta (Trans Antofagasta), La Serena-Coquimbo (LISANCO-LISERCO-LINCOSUR), Valparaiso (TMV), Rancagua (Trans O'Higgins) and Concepción (BioBus) public transport systems.

Welcome back feña_2
Very interesting news about bus JV. Chinese companies are slowly conquering South America.
Thanks for the welcome, Martin, I hope you're fine :thumb:

Brazilian-built and local built buses keep their strength;, plus that Modasa, peruvian-built buses, entered strong to the market, but chinese ones, has turned in a option for the transport companies, for example : Metalpar also have a JV with Dongfeng, but in this time, buses are rebadged as Metalpar Ralún and Welén.

This one, a Ralún, runs on Valparaíso system

And this one, is the Welen, works for privates:

Also, Kinglong sent a group of 65 CNG-powered buses to Punta Arenas, the Movigas system:

And Zhongtong, Youngman and Yutong have turned into a great option for the companies that transport employees to the copper mining facilities, BTW, other companies uses DD buses for inter-city services:

But, that's whats happened with chinese buses down here. Some companies tried to use chinese buses for the Santiago transport system, the Transantiago, but mainly, have fail due motor "melting".

Cheers!
