Salvation is near for NedCar

BORN - After the Japanese come the Chinese. The Dutch car NedCar plant in Born is prepared and seems to be saved from destruction.

Japan's Mitsubishi Motor Company earlier announced that it will stop the production of the Colt and Outlander within several years, which still takes place in Born. The successor of will be build in Thailand and Mitsubishi builds the Outlander already in Japan.

Collaboration
The Chinese car manufacturer Landwind, which will introduce the CV9 in Europe this month, have made agreements with NedCar on a far-reaching form of cooperation. The cooperation will start with taking care of the so-called 'Pre Delivery Inspection' of the new Landwind CV9. These are the final quality checks of the Chinese cars, which will be available in The Netherlands from this month. The Chinese are also interested to build cars in Born when the Japanese have gone. They see it as an opportunity to take away the reigning prejudice in many European countries that the quality of Chinese cars would be no good. NedCar and Landwind would neither confirm nor deny the coorperation.

NedCar currently manufactures the Colt and Outlander:

I'm curious what we can expect of Landwind Europe in the future. Will they cooperate with ChangAn for their lineup? European introduction of their decent X8 SUV?

This message about NedCar producing Landwinds, was it dated April 1?
It's indeed too good to be true ;) Many sources deny the reports of De Telegraaf:
http://www.autoweek.nl/autonieuws/16445/Geen-Chinese-klant-voor-Nedcar
http://www.automobielmanagement.nl/...06-nedcar-gaat-niet-voor-landwind-bouwen.html

But Landwind does have conversation with NedCar about the pre delivery inspection (pdi).
