ruru-I am one that thinks that will change as the market matures beyond babyhood. Right now the Chinese market is in it's infancy-but just wait and see. That will change and the products will improve-if the Chinese people see what the other markets are getting and demand same for themselves. I think they'll eventually get there.
ruru, what U.S. area do you live in, BTW? And you are exactly right about Mitsu bringing the Lancer EVO to the States to the delight of import fanboys all over America.
Ironically, it was a white 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer 4-dr. rental sedan I drove in the fall of 2004 while in college that started turning me on to Mitsubishi. But it's because of what you said about Mitsu bringing the EVO goods to the States that also allowed the introduction of the first Mitsubishi product I've ever bought, that being my current car, my 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS. It borrows heavily from the EVO in it's design.
I still hear people bitch about the "U.S. never getting the good stuff" on cars, on the Edmunds.com website and on the Kia World website. Fact is IMO we do get plenty of good rigs imported here. I absolutely love my '08 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS. In fact, if I didn't love it so much, Kia would be my next choice to buy a car from. Kia is improving so fast it's scaring me.
I have owned two new Kia's before, a 1999 Sephia and a 2001 Sportage 4X4. Both great rigs!
ruru, that's cool as far as the electric moped goes. I'm aiming to be one of the first in Arizona to buy an all-electric car. Looking to get a 2011 BYD e6, if that indeed is my best choice in a year or two. Things in the all-electric field are rather...umm...fluid right now, if you catch my drift, bro.
