In 2011, Lifan Motors began selling of the updated flagship model 欧式战龙 V9 (Oushi Zhan Long V9). In my opinion, this is one of the most inexpressive truck, even among the other Chinese manufacturers. The truck uses the old cabin, but its design is repaired by a new front mask, plastic bumper and a high plastic roof. These models are equipped with licensed Cummins engines L37530/L34030/L31530 made by DongFeng or purely Chinese Yuchai YCL340-33 or L315-33. Transmissions are all local made.
Immediately after presenting of the updated heavy trucks Lifan 欧式战龙 V9 (Oushi Zhan Long V9), the company introduced a new medium duty range 欧式战马 A6 (Oushi Zhanma A6). In contrast to the unattractive "big brothers", medium duty model is visually more interesting, but somewhat reminiscent of Foton Auman trucks because of similarly shaped headlamps. 欧式战马 A6 (Oushi Zhanma A6) equipped with the YC4D130-30 130 hp engine (Model LFJ3077G1), YC4E160-31 160 hp engine (Model LFJ3060G4) or ISDE210 210 hp engine (Model LFJ3118G1). Gross weight is from 5.5 to 11.5 tonnes.
These pick-ups remind me of Japanese cars from the 1980s or early 1990s, and the entire body, except the pick-up bed, looks as if it was copied from something else. Can anyone work out what they might be based on?Interesting article about Lifan pickup at carnewschina.com:
