Lifan has been doing well lately in foreign markets, especially Russia. And so I am surprised to see the poor quality of trim and upholstery in the interior of this MPV. I am quite sure it cannot compare with the level of the Hongguang.
NAZ-Lifan began assembly of the L7 in Azerbaijan in the last week of July. This model had been phased out in China with serial production ending effectively in mid-2018 (although a few additional units rolled out in 2019).
Over the past couple of months, activity levels have picked up at the factory in Nakhchivan exclave. Apart from the L7, models that have recently come on line are the Lifan X70, FAW (Bestune) T33, and FAW (Jiefang) T80 minitruck. However, with the specter of a complete shutdown looming over Lifan's auto production in China, the future of models such as the L7, X70, Myway or M7 overseas hangs in balance.
