A new, squarish electric van is discovered among the latest MIIT records. The 5/7-seat van is 4.5 m in length, with a 2.91 m wheelbase and powered by a 70 kW motor. The model name is indistinct.

Maxus SH6451 ("EV31")

Maxus's new van, codenamed "EV31" is going to be produced at a new facility constructed in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. The new shop is annexed to an existing factory owned and operated by SAIC's heavy equipment subsidiary, Shanghai Pengpu Machinery Co., Ltd.

The first body-in-white was prepared in June.

SAIC Maxus is also upgrading and expanding its (former) Nanjing Auto/Yuejin commercial vehicle factory in Jiangning District, Nanjing, to enable production of two new passenger vehicles "SV31" and "SV51". This is not to be confused with SAIC-VW's car plant in Jiangning District, also (earlier) belonging to Nanjing Auto.
