China's Nanjing Auto exports first batch of MG Rover auto parts to Europe

BEIJING (AFX) - Nanjing Automobile Group Corp said it has exported its first batch of MG Rover auto parts to Europe.
The company said in a statement on its website that it signed an agreement with UK-based Xpart Ltd, which purchases and markets parts and accessories for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
No further details were provided.
State media reported last month that Nanjing Auto is expected to make its first MG Rover car in March 2007.
Nanjing Auto spent 50 mln stg in July last year to take over the manufacturing assets, engine technology and auto models from the MG Rover Group.
