Nio ES6 electric SUV (New!)
Nio presented its new model, the ES6, today and announced pre-subsidy prices. A smaller sibling of the ES8, the 5-seat ES6 will be available from June 2019.
The car has dimensions of 4850 x 1965 x 1758/1734 mm, with a wheelbase of 2900 mm; F/R track 1668/1672 mm. The car uses a high-strength aluminum body structure and carbon fiber-reinforced polymer structural parts.
Traction is provided by dual motors for an all-wheel drive setup. Combined motor output is 320 kW (160+160) or 400 kW (160+240). Corresponding torque figures are 610 Nm or 725 Nm. Options for battery packs are 70 kWh or 84 kWh. Official (NEDC) range is from 410 km to 510 km for differently specced variants. 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 4.7s for the 400 kW car. Max. speed is 200 km/h.
Like the ES8, the ES6 will be equipped with the Nio PILOT Advanced Autonomous Driving Assistance System (featuring Mobileye EyeQ4 System-on-Chip) and NOMI, an in-car interactive AI virtual assistant/companion.
While all this is good, the ES6 has not been type approved for sale yet but that should not be a problem as it will go into production at the JAC-NIO plant in Baohe District, Hefei.
