jmsteiny-yeah I've been reading up on this car the past couple of days. Pricing hasn't been announced yet for the States but I think Nissan is really on the right track here. Charging with the smaller voltage charger will take 16 hours, kind of lengthy, but with the higher voltage plug-in it will only take 7 hours or something like that. Plus one can buy the "80%" chargers that reach that capacity within only 30 minutes. They're costly for your home, though, I read $16,000 for the home quick charger, sounds pretty steep, but you don't have to have one of those, too.
I think that the cities and counties need to build infrastructure up and that is under way in the U.S., more so in some cities and areas than others. But I think the new Nissan LEAF is an exciting addition to the world automotive scene and what needs to happen in the green automotive market.
