conservative approach

Chery reminds me of Toyota more and more. My impression is that it will continue to win high marks with JD Powers.
The styling of this crossover is just ho hum, but practically speaking the flat panels make it less costly to produce.
But ultimately in the US it may be blown away by more exciting models like the Murano.

I probably should have posted this earlier, but it’s better at than never, so with the gauges situated in the middle of the dash, it seems like Chery has plans to export this model into markets that use right hand drive, making it easy to have interchangeable body work for the passenger and the driver.

I believe they diesel engines from ATECO http://www.cheryacteco.com/cpjs_info_display_4_en.asp?tp_id=5

Im seriously thinking about buying the V5 1.9TD once Ive moved into my new apt. Im eager to buy it, might just get it in Feb or March :D It will be great for dragging my big fat downhill mountain bikes in.

This is definitely one of the most interesting cars for Europa, besides the Great Wall Hover, Chery A1, Landwind Fashion and Chang'an CV6. The looks of the V5 are sportier than the most fullsize MPV's in Europe (except for the Ford S-MAX and Mitsubishi Grandis). This diesel version is even more than great.

I agree with you , it looks more refined , but I still can't see why chery and geely prefer SMALL WHEELS !!

a car at with that size , requires at least 18"s or so , dont you think ?

BTW Hazik can you provide interior pics for this model , or is it unchanged ?
Thanks for the great pics hazik .

Chery V5 CrossEastar

Chery presented new model named CrossEastar powered by bio-diesel engine:

I assume, it's just a concept car for now, but what is it based on? Is this a station wagon of old Eastar or is this already new bodystyle of upcoming A6? Does anyone have some additional photos and info about the car?
