Dear members,

I am currently looking for participants in an academic research project that aims at publishing a scenario analysis on the future development of autonomous driving in China. For sure, the users here in this forum shoud be the perfect audience for this.

People with knowledge about the Chinese automotive market and autonomous driving technologies can take part in a two-round survey. After completion of the research project, the participants will get access to the main findings of the scenario analysis.

Please follow the URL to the online questionnaire: (please click “Save and Continue” after finishing the questionnaire)

Autonomous driving is without any doubt one of the megatrends within the automotive industry. Self-driving cars might disrupt the entire industry as established companies might lose their competitive edge, while new players from IT might dramatically gain in importance. So far, the development of autonomous driving technologies in China remains a question mark to most players involved. This is mainly because of a considerably different market environment: different driving behaviors and more complex road structures are only two out of several key differences. While companies such as Google seem to be prominent players in the United States and Europe, in China companies such as Alibaba, Baidu or Tencent are keen to play a major role in the future development of autonomous driving. Due to the high importance of China’s automotive market, companies cannot afford to fall behind in the development of self-driving vehicles in the world’s largest automotive market. Therefore, this research project aims to reduce uncertainty by developing multiple distinct scenarios for the future development of autonomous driving technologies in China.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions. Thank you for your consideration and support!

Best regards,
