Some manufacturers do do them, I remember Chinoy54 mentioned a few in another thread, also titled RHD vehicles. Do a search for it.
RHD Vehicles For South Afrca
My company is looking for all type of Chinese Vehicles (Trucks, buses, Cars, Pick-ups and Suv's). All the models must have Right Hand Drive though.
We have spoken to some manufacturers but they don't have RHD. Please can you help by telling me which companies have RHD?
We are looking at assembling the vehicles from SKD kits. Is this a good idea?

Both SAIC and NAC-MG are using platforms based on the 25 and 75 Rover models that were both RHD/LHD.
You will have had these models for a brief period in RSA from about 2003 until the company's collapse in 2005 and a dealer network was in place for the MG and Rover.
As to CKD, I couldn't say but the TF sports car is to be assembled at Longbridge supposedly from kits from China but it has >60% local content.
Blackheath in Cape Town was the factory base for BMC/Leykor until 1984 and I recently met the plant manager, and I have absolutely no doubt that the cars could be produced in either CKD or possibly full local manufacturing. For example, I had an Austin Apache (www.austinapache.co.uk) that was >85% local content inc. casting of the block/head etc for the engine, as well as the entire bodyshell and sub-frames being locally pressed. Of course, modern car technology may make this a little more difficult to achieve now without huge investment.
