The Chery A5 facelift is in my opinion a huge improvement compared to the current A5. The side profile is a bit dated, but the front which reminds me of the Riich G5 and Chery A6CC (Riich G5CC ?) is defenitely a step-up.

I shouldn't think so. Chery sells the A6 and A7 alongside the Riich G6 and G7.
I think it will simply be an upmarket version of the A5.

After the introduction of the Chery A6 at the Auto Shanghai 2007 it never went into production as a Chery: the production version was introduced at the Auto Shanghai 2009 show as Riich G5. The prototype of the Chery Eastar 6 was introduced at Beijing Auto Show 2008, but the production version was revealed at Auto Shanghai 2009 as Riich G6.

My bad. I just thought Chery would replace the Eastar with the A6.
Still, I don't think Chery is stupid enough to remove the A5 from the mainstream range and put it in a Riich guise. Why can't they have a normal version and an upmarket version?

It looks different than the other pics of the Riich G3 or G2. The fronts looks more subtle, the headlights are a different shape. The rear lights are also a different shape as well. It this the final version or simply a test mule?
