With Saab once again on the road to independance it is about 95% unlikely that GM's other brands will ever develop new models side by side.
It has been indicated by Spyker that they intend for Saab to develop their own models and possibly develop new models with other companies outside of GM.
Yes, Saab will be tied to GM for sometime. But only by way of what has already been developed. Current 9-3, all new 9-4x and all new 9-5.
GM will recieve dividends from the company of 4% between now and 2016.
