ive noticed that many new ppl are coming from egypt here and big fascination has growin for chinese cars in egypt seems like...
but are there any other countries like that too??

ive noticed egypt, russia and costa rica as having above avg buzzes on chinese cars

it's not really like that, it's just that when we read in the news and magazines that they were gonna import Chinese cars everybody thought WTH, chinese cars, they must be toys....
but now that Chery and Hafei proved that they r good cars (execluding Geely) ppl r now building trust in thechinese cars
plus they have the lowest price, only Suzuki Maruti & Alto & the Kia Picanto can touch that price

Well, here in Egypt alot of brands are popping-up in the market... The Geely was the start.. it was cheap, but sorry to say, it was shit, even the dealer stopped selling Geely cars.

The Chery then came with good prices.. the agent got the QQ , A11 models.. with fair prices, which we dicovered lately by the new Agent for chery to under another name ( speranza ) selling the A5,A6 models... that they are cheaper!

Hafie lobo sold alot, the agent is working hard, plus the cars are good built so he wont find much negatives from the costumers.

Brilliance Grandure(galena here) , are assembled in Egypt by Bavarian Auto, Agent of BMW in Egypt.

Speranza (chery) A5,A6 (oriental son)... are assembled here in Egypt at Daewoo's factory which used to produce Lanos, Leganza models. & let me tell you the car SOLD ALOT! bookings from now till 8/2007 !! lol which means you book now to get ur car next year!

Lioncel is sold here.. The Mitsubishi agent , is the same agent of SOUEAST.

BYD is here, poor adv. , bad agency... Flayer & F3.

The Zotye brand has just arrived here... a car that is typical to a Daihatsu terios which i guess will not make any success.

The Hyundai agent (ghabbour) has just announced the Assembly of FAW cars in Egypt, & release of more than one model.

And more brands to come... the market is big here, & people are buying...

I wouldn't think Russia has any interest in Chinese cars.
They have Japan next door with its strict regulatoins on
cars - so second hand market is booming.

The eastern part of Russia is already predominantly the
Left Hand Drive. Unfortunately Russian government isn't
concerned about ppl, so it charges a huge import tax.

But even if Chinese produce within Russia, and you get
a choice between a new Chinese car and a 3-year-old
from Japan, let me tell you, there is no doubt who wins.
Unless the Left Hand Drive is prohibited altogether, which
is not realistic in spite of all the talk.

ok, add these cars too... Jiangnan under the name (maryo), will be released this week in Egypt.

And another car named CEO, looks like the BMW X5, will be released soon too here.

well.. egyptian ppl, sound that there are many of us interested in the new era... the chinese era..
i'm egyptian too..

I'm interested in two cars, Lioncel and Maryo.
I've checked the Lioncel at Al Tayaran st., it looked so nice, very similar to the Lancer 2002, actualty it is just a copy of it, its motor also have the mitsubishi brand, although i suspect it was manufactured with the same technology of Mitsubishi.

Anyway, I havn't checked the Maryo yet.
Did any of u check it?

Also what do u think about the both 2 cars in general?

the maryo is complete utter crap
wanna be lanos , smaller chasis , leftback / hatchback

it might have nice features, but its really not that diffrent from a crappy Geely HQ ( Fruittah ) .

The Lioncel is alot better , but the price is a bit questionable .... 70,000 le ...$12,280 for a 2002 Lancer ? well the car is good but the price is not right

I mean u can buy a Second Hand 2002 Lancer for alot more less than that !

Here down south (america) Uruguay and Paraguay are the more chinese friendly countries, but they will all give in... in time... Chery is planning to open a manufacturing plant in uruguay...

egypt is a very small contry in the middle east and very poor .
people there earn 100 usd a month like in china .
they are very stupid naive and dont understand cars thats why they sell more there .the chinese price is the best in the world
if someday china will be the 1 car manufacturer in the world .its only because of the price of the car .no one in the world can sell cars like these.
the bigguest market for cars in the middle east is in israel and saudia .
in israel the best seller are japanese cars and german cars .
in saudia its american and european luxury cars
in israel 120% car tax -saudia -qatar-baharin -o % tax no tax
there is no chinese cars in israel because they dont have a good name.
israel is the richest car market in the middle east
a new car cost at least 30000 usd minimum
mercedes are 150000 usd minimum
