New sedan and successor to the Santana. This is the Chinese equivalent of the Indian Volkswagen Virtus (VW271/2IN) and its sister model, the Skoda Slavia.
Although tentatively named Lavida, it is essentially a sedan version of the current Polo (Plus) and is based on the MQB-A0 platform, while not being related to the slightly larger MQB-A1 based Lavida (VW331/4CS). In China, it will be powered by a 1498 cc 81 kw engine.
The Virtus is also made in Brazil (VW271 LA); however that car is due for a facelift.
