Should Politics be discussed on China Car Forums ?

Last time i check this was an car forum :thumb:

Admin has written to me that all Political Discussion is only allowed in Off Topic Section.

So please apply to these rules

yes but only in offtopic...i view other car forums and they all have a offtopic forum....well to be honest...this is the only forum ive ever seen with no nude thread or NWFS threads in the offtopic..

No politics! And no religion too.

If we go with strictly cars, then some of the members with politically charged names would have to be banned.

Yes, keep everything not car related in a separate section. (If the goal is to attact a lot of members and get a lot of hits, good or bad, this is the best way to go.)

NO POLITICS , WARN PEOPLE USING POLITICAL NICKNAMES OR QUOTES !

i don't think you can ever remove comments of a political nature from appearing in any of the threads. sometimes the heated debate ten posts from the beginning has almost nothing to do w/the original post. when this happens, then the moderator should move the thread to off-topic. that's my opinion.

Agreed with mostly - Its plainly obvious that some of the posters here are a little immature when it comes to discussion. Any heated debate usually turns into 'YOUR COUNTRY DID XXXX!' etc.

I wouldnt move the threads, I would delete them, and start warning members with the option of banning them.

I take that back...

Okay, I think it would probably be better to ban politics from this site, the political discussions on this site are pretty much hate-slinging contests anyway; ex: "Your country is stupider than mine (you don't know what you're talking about)!" Its all quite stupid and childish, so whats the point?! If you want to speak politics go to a political forum or make a blog so that you can blast your opinion on other people. Yes, I think we should be able to express our opinions ,but this site is to enlighten people on Chinese cars ,and therefore any discussion on this site of politics is completely irrelevant. Its like an electronics forum talking about gardening! I take back my vote. I want a COMPLETE BAN on any politics that isn't car-related.
