The new safety regulations which came into force in Chile in June 1st have led some manufacturers have had to working flat out to adapt their vehicles. Not many that have been left out, although the Chinese have been the most harmed.

So far under the new legislation, the SMA brand models Maple, Geely division, can not be marketed in the country until include appropriate amendments. However, it appears that importer Fortaleza is not interested to proceed with them, so that have been deleted even from the website. Since arriving in mid-2008 has sold 624 units in various series C and R, may now be positioned both unprotected and, as usual
occur when a firm disappears, with a poor residual value.
